Pictorul peisagist francez Albert Lebourg s-a nascut pe 1 februarie 1848, in Monfort-sur-Risle. Primele notiuni de pictura le-a invatat de la profesorii lui G. Morin si Jean Seignemartin. Mai tarziu a predat pictura la École des Beau Arts in Alger din 1872 pana in 1876. Lebourg a lucrat o perioada cu J. P. Laurens in Paris, iar lucrarile lui au capatat, din ce in ce mai mult, caracteristici impresioniste. Cariera lui artistica a fost sustinuta de Camille Pissarro, care i-a recunoscut talentul. A expus pentru prima oara cu Monet, Sisley, Renoir si Pissarro pe Montmartre Boulevard. Din 1890 pana in 1914 a participat in mod regulat la expozitiile de la Salon der Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts, castigand multe premii.  Albert Lebourg a murit pe 6 ianuarie 1928, in Rouen, Franta.
