André Bauchant (24 aprilie 1873 – 12 august 1958) a fost un pictor naiv francez ale carui compozitii au avut ca sursa de inspiratie, mitologia si istoria clasica. Initial a lucrat ca gradinar pana in 1914, inainte de a servi in Primul razboi mondial. In timpul serviciului militar s-a remarcat talentul sau la desen si a fost pregatit in cartografie. Dupa demobilizare in 1919 si-a inceput cariera de pictor.
Bauchant s-a nascut in Château-Renault, Indre-et-Loire. Prima sa expozitie a fost in 1920 la Salon d’Automne. In 1927 a fost angajat de Diaghilev pentru a desena decorul la Apollon Musagèt a lui Stravinsky.

Animal haters are at it again. They have created a Facebook page called
Justice For The Dog Hooked To A Car And Killed In Irgoli, Sardegna – Italia
On April 9, a father and a his 16 year old son tied a dog to their car and dragged him for several km. A police car spotted them and tried to stop them, the car lost control and ended up in a ditch. The dog was still alive but died at the veterinary clinic, no more flesh on his body, only bones and blood.
Right now the two criminals are still walking free and their names haven’t become public. The law should guarantee up to 4 years of prison time for torturing and killing this animal, but too often our justice system disregards these laws and does nothing to punish these criminals. Many animal torturers are simply asked to pay a small fee.
We need support from all over the world to let institutions in Italy know that we are not going to tolerate any excuse for not applying the maximun penalty applicable. The whole crime was caught on tape and it was the police themselves that intercepted and stopped these animal torturers! these people are undoubtedly guilty!

Abbott Fuller Graves (1859–1936 ) a fost un pictor si ilustrator american specializat in picturi de gradini si naturi statice cu flori, cu influente de impresionism european.
Graves s-a nascut in Weymouth, Massachusetts, pe 15 aprilie 1859, fiul lui James Griswold Graves si al Elizei Nicholls (Fuller). Sperand sa devina arhitect, Graves a urmat cursurile institutului Massachusetts Institute of Technology, insa nu a absolvit. Graves a plecat la Paris si in Italia in 1884 pentru a se perfectiona ca pictor de flori. In Europe, a locuit cu Edmund C. Tarbell. Dupa reintoarcerea la Boston in 1885, Graves a devenit profesor la Cowles Art School, unde preda si prietenul sau Childe Hassam .fara indoiala, cei doi pictori s-au influentat unul pe celalalt. In 1887, Graves s-a reintors la Paris pentru a studia pictura de figuri la Academie Julien.
Graves s-a reintors la Boston in 1891 si a locuit in orasul de coasta Kennebunkport, Maine, unde a predat ore de pictura in ulei si acuarela. A continuat sa picteze scene de compozitie cu fermieri, pescari, pompieri si batrani capitani de vas din Kennebunkport. Multe dintre aceste lucrari au fost reproduse pe calendare si carti postale.
Dupa 1891, majoritatea lucrarilor lui Graves descrii gradini si peisaje cu flori, unele cu figuri feminine. In 1891 a deschis propria lui scoala de arta in Boston. Ulterior scoala s-a mutat la Kennebunk, Maine. Din 1902 pana in 1905, Graves s-a angajat ca ilustrator comercial pentru reviste din Paris. Dupa 1922, Graves si-a petrecut iernile in New York City, unde facea parte in diferite organizatii ca National Academy of Design, National Arts Club, Salmagundi Club si Allied Artists of America.
Graves a murit in Kennebunkport pe 15 iulie 1936.

Edward Arthur Walton (15 aprilie 1860 Glanderston House, Barrhead, Renfrewshire – 18 martie 1922 Edinburgh) a fost un pictor scotian de peisaje si portrete, asociat scolii Düsseldorf de pictura.
Edward a fost unul din cei 12 copii ai lui Jackson Walton, un agent de vanzari din Manchester si pictor si fotograf priceput.
Walton s-a pregatit in arta la Kunstakademie din Düsseldorf, apoi la School of Art din Glasgow. A fost prieten apropiat cu Joseph Crawhall, George Henry si James Guthrie si a locuit in Glasgow pana in 1894 unde a facut parte din grupul Glasgow School sau Glasgow Boys, toti mari admiratori ai lui Whistler. Locurile lor favorite unde pictau erau in Trossachs si Crowland din Lincolnshire. In 1883 Walton s-a alaturat lui Guthrie, care si-a luat o casa in satul Berwickshire din Cockburnspath. A pictat un insemnat numar de acuarele in Helensburgh in 1883, in care prezenta suburbia aglomerata si diferitii ei oameni. Aceste lucrari sunt considerate printre cele mai frumoase opere ale Glasgow School si apreciate pentru claritatea, culorile si puternica semnificatie decorativa. Principala sursa de venit a lui Walton au fost comenzile de portrete. In anii 1880 si 1890 a executat picturi murale in principala cladire a Expozitiei Internationale din Glasgow din 1888 si in alte cladiri din oras.
Walton a expus din 1880 atat in Glasgow, la Royal Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts, in Edinburgh, la Royal Scottish Academy, fiind ales Asociat al Academiei in 1889 si membru plin in 1905. A stat in Londra din 1894 pana in 1904, a locuit in Cheyne Walk din Chelsea si a fost vecin cu Whistler si John Lavery.
Walton s-a casatorit cu artista Helen Law (nascuta Henderson) pe 29 noiembrie 1889. Helen a renuntat la cariera ei in pictura pentru a se ocupa de familie.
