Georgia Totto O’Keeffe (15 noiembrie 1887, Sun Prairie, SUA – 6 martie 1986) a fost o faimoasa artista americana a anilor 1920.A fost renumita pentru contributia sa la tehnicile de pictura moderna americana.Artista e cunoscuta in special pentru picturile cu flori, stanci, scoici, oase de animale si peisaje in care a sintetizat abstractia si reprezentarea.A pictat forme cu contur clar care abunda in tranzitii subtile de culori diferite, transformandu-le deseori in imagini foarte abstracte.

O’Keeffe a jucat un rol important in aducerea stilului de arta americana in Europa, intro perioada cand cea mai mare parte a influentelor veneau din directia opusa. Aceasta a determinat recunoasterea importantei mari in istoria artei a artistei, ea fiind una dintre putinele femei care a castigat accesul la acest nivel de influenta profesionala.
