John Frederick Lloyd Strevens (1902-1990) – faimos pictor portretist englez, cunoscut pentru portretele din anii `30 ai secolului al XX-lea. O trasatura distinctiva a pictorului e oda farmecului feminin. Frederic John Lloyd Strevens a demonstrat lumii intregi perspectiva masculina asupra gratiei, tandretii si spiritualitatii imaginii fetelor. In 1952, la varsta de 50 de ani, John Lloyd Strevens a primit medalia de aur la Salonul din Paris, o confirmare a talentului sau, deoarece picturile expuse in salon cu femei frumoase a atras atentia publicului. Picturile artistului sunt populare si se disting prin inimitabila perceptie stilistica. Artistul a murit in 1990 la varsta de 88 de ani.

Hyacinthe Rigaud (18 iulie 1659, Perpignan (Pyrénées-Orientales)–29 decembrie 1743, Paris), pictor   baroc francez de origine catalana a carui cariera s-a format  in Paris.

E renumit pentru portretele lui Louis XIV, ale regalitatii  si nobilimii din Europa, membrii curtilor regale, fiind considerat unul dintre cei mai importanti portretisti francezi din perioada clasicismului.

A fost cel mai important portretist din timpul domniei regelui Louis XIV. Instinctul sau  de a  picta poze impresionante si prezentari grandioase s-a potrivit  gustului personajelor regale, ambasadorilor, clericilor, curtenilor si  bancherilor care  i-au pozat. Rigaud si-a datorat celebritatea suportului  loial pe care l-a primit de la cele patru generatii de Bourboni ale caror portrete le-a pictat. A adunat clientela din randurile celor mai bogate cercuri precum si din burgezi, bancheri, nobili, industriasi, ministri ai guvernului, ambasadorii celor mai importante monarhii europene din…
