Willem van de Velde the Younger (botezat in 18 decembrie 1633 – 6 aprilie 1707) a fost un pictor olandez de peisaje marine.
Willem van de Velde a fost botezat in 18 decembrie 1633 in Leiden, Olanda, Republica Olandeza.

Fiul lui Willem van de Velde the Elder, de asemenea, pictor de peisaje marine, Willem van de Velde cel Tanar a invatat notiunile de arta de la tatal lui, apoi a fost indrumat de Simon de Vlieger, un reputat pictor marin din acea perioada, si a atins celebritatea datorita artei sale inainte de-a ajunge la Londra. In 1673 s-a mutat in Anglia, unde a fost angajat de regele Charles II, cu un salariu de 100 £ , pentru a-si ajuta tatal in „obtinerea de schite ale luptelor navale”,  partea lui fiind aceea de a reproduce in culori desenele lui van de Velde  the Elder. A fost sprijinit si de Ducele de York , precum si de diferiti membri ai  nobilimii.

A murit pe 6 aprilie 1707 in Londra, Anglia si a fost inmormantat  la biserica St. James’s Church.

Cele mai multe lucrari ale lui Van de Velde reprezinta vederi ale coastei olandeze cu nave olandeze.
