Viktor Mikhailovich Vasnetsov (Rusa: Виктор Михайлович Васнецов), nascut in 15 mai 1848 in Lop’jal langa Vyatka – 23 iunie 1926, Moscova, pictor rus ale carui lucrari au subiecte mitologice si istorice. E considerat o figura cheie in renasterea artei ruse.
Viktor Vasnetsov s-a nascut intrun sat indepartaat, Lopyal din gubernia Vyatka. Tatal sau, Mikhail Vasilievich Vasnetsov, preot de tara, era un om educat inclinat spre filozofie si interesat in stiintele naturii, astronomie si pictura. Bunicul sau a fost pictor de icoane.
Evocand copilaria sa intro scrisoare catre Vladimir Stasov, Vasnetsov a notat ca a „trait printre copii de tarani pe care i-a indragit ca un prieten, nu ca narodnik”.
